The city of Mendeleevsk
The regional center of Tatarstan. It is based in 1868. The population hardly more than 20 thousand.
The Former name of city - Bondyuzhskiy. On old maps of the river Kama this name till now appears.
In City of Mendeleevsk it is renamed in honour of the well-known author of Periodic system of the elements, in due time worked on local chemical combine. Probably, here has written Dmitry Ivanovich the well-known treatise about Russian vodka?!
The structure of city includes village-stick Tichie Gory (in english: Silent Mountains) from which any point the impressing panorama of the Nizhnekamsk water basin opens.
Seen then there small round islands, and also multikilometer bulk dams represent technological platforms Open Society "Tatneft" - on them oil machine tools-rocking chairs which are connected by underground pipelines in the general system of gathering and swapping of oil are installed.
